Designing an Office Supply Database

J

Janet A. Thompson

I want to design a supply and inventory and ordering database that I can use
to determine where something is located in the office, access the supplier of
an item, print a label, determine when it was last ordered, etc.

I want to create a map in a layout program (InDesign) and convert to pdf and
somehow show where the item is in the office from the database record.

How to do? Any pointers in setting up the relationships. This is where I'm
not too good.

Thanks!

BTW I want to that Microsoft site and the template download doesn't work.

Problem seems to be the usual Microsoft agendizing. Just trying to download
a friging file and the error message say the problem is that my browser isn't
allowing Active X controls.

Hello Janet,

I can create a database for you that meets all your requirements for a
very modst fee. I provide help with Access, Excel and Word applications
for a reasonable fee. If you would like my help, contact me.

Just check out the Excel and Word forums to get an idea of stevie's level of
incompetence in those products. In the Word group he recently asked how to
rotate a page and how to add to a table. Very basic tasks that even an
amateur can do.

I must take a look in that group, I could do with a laugh.
