Description Function

Linda

I've used Access2 through 2000. One of the features I've used extensively to
organized my action queries is the description field in the database window.

I have been testing 2007 and found that the description field is no longer
sortable. I used to use this field to number my queries and keep them in
order in the processes that I was designing.

What do I do now?

Hi, Linda.
What do I do now?

Have you tried prefixing the query names with your process grouping and
numbering schemes? For example: qryUpdMonthlyRpt_01_DeletePrevRecs,
qryUpdMonthlyRpt_02_InsertDailyTotals, qryUpdMonthlyRpt_03_CurrMonthTotals.
These will group together in a sort, with 01 being the first, 02, being the
second, and 03 being the third on the list.

HTH.

Thanks Gunny

Yes I guess that's what I'll have to do as a work around. But it's not pretty.

I hope they change this issue.

I know a lot of people who use this function, it's very helpful.
