DEP shuts off Generic Host Process for Win32 Services

My Data Execution Prevention started shutting down the Generic Host Process
for Win32 Services for no apparent reason recently. Apparently the GHP is an
important system process; it restarts by itself and then the DEP crashes it
again. dialog boxes reappear repeatedly, so the process likely restarts
itself (in similar fashion to some critical processes like svchost, etc.) and
then gets crashed by the DEP in a repitant style.I'm almost certain that the
Generic Host Process is a legitimate system process. I don't understand why
DEP would disable it; it never has in the past. No viruses were found on the
machine when scanned.

The computer APPEARS to work okay (other than that related error dialog
boxes always stay ontop of the screen and get in the way) it basically says
the Generic Host Process has encountered an error and needs to close. we're
sorry for the inconvenience. But the DEP is causing it, as i stated above.
