Dell, Viiv and Vista (OTish)

Hello,

Has anyone checkout dell website and the vista upgrade.

It looks to me like, if you want Vista Ultimate upgrade and Intel you have
to go with Viiv.

Anyone know why? Is this some future DRM tie in thing, if you go AMD are you
going to lose out in some way?

You can chose vista upgrade for Intel Viiv or AMD but not Intel without Viiv

I have read some negative articles and wiki.

so, sort off.

Viiv is to using a PC as a entertainment system as what Centrino was and is
to using a laptop mobile.

Its new feature and a brand.

What concerns me is, we are entering a new world of IPTV.

Now, I am not a DRM expert or a IPTV expert, but I an interested and I don't
want to buy AMD to find that all content that I want only works with a Viiv
DRM.

From what I read, Viiv can be OEMed, so you may bet players that use Viiv
DRM.
