Deleting user profiles in XP

Guest

I am being told that although a user may be in the Administrators group, that
user does not have the ability to delete other user profiles. According to
MS, anyone in the administrators group has the ability to delete profiles.
These workstations are not in a domain so AD should not prevent this. Has
anyone come across this problem? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Any user in the administrators group is all powerful on the computer and can
delete other user profiles. Even if an administrator is initially restricted
a skilled administrator can undo restrictions to give himself access which
may require that he take ownership of the folder/file/registry key first.
The preferred way to delete user profiles is to use System
properties/advanced - user profile settings. --- Steve
