Deleting tags

R

Richard Tanner

Having converted my vinyl collection to MP3 I would like to burn them to
disc along with my CD collection, also converted. All the CD tracks come
complete with tags but of course the vinyls don't. I have a prog,Taginator,
which will allow me to tag the vinyls but for the look of it (yea, I'm
fussy) I would like to delete the existing tags from the CDs and put my own
in. Taginator won't delete existing tags, is there a prog which will.
Preferably one that comes with undestandable directions for use.

Did you notice the "Mp3tag 2.35" thread? Exactly what you're looking for.

ID3kill: small (less than 200kb), easy and works perfectly:

I'm more wondering why you would rip a cd to mp3 and then burn back to
cd? Ripping to cd involve loss of quality.

He might have a cd player that can read mp3s from a disk. He'd therefore
have cd with hundreds of tracks on rather than 12(ish).

Just a guess though!

You don't need to delete the tags to change them, just edit what is
already there using the program you already have. BTW, CDs don't come
with tags.

Thanks for the help. Job now done.

Edbro, I live on a narrowboat and space is very limited and I do mean very.
One CD of MP3s saves a lot of space.

DadiOH, I thought, obviously wrongly, that the bits of info which come up on
my CD player screen giving artits name, album, track number and possibly
someone's shoe size were tags. If they are not, what are they called?
