Deleting start-up messages

I recently tried downloading a freeware program which I later deleted using
the uninstall facility for the program. ( I have also double checked and the
program is no longer listed in Add/Remove programs).
The problem I now have is that when I start the PC I get two message windows
when it boots up.
One says - Svhost 'the evaluation period has expired' etc and the other
similar message being Advanced Keylogger ' Trial period is over' enter
registration key etc.
I have tried the search facility for these programs but cannot seem to
delete any appropriate files to delete these windows from appearing.
I would therefore appreciate any help or suggestions as to how I delete
these two windows and stop them from appearing every time I start the PC.

thanks - Eos.

Sounds like you may have downloaded a bit of spyware too

Perhaps an online security/virus check

You should click on Start - Run - enter MSCONFIG - Startup - and uncheck the
items as they still seem to be running at startup. It sounds like the
uninstall didn't fully clean all the entries out of the registry and they
are still trying to run.
