Is there a way of deleting only one link/ Web site address in the history
without deleting all of the history?

Thank you, Karen

Yes you can, on the Drop down list Highlight the link and Hit Delete on your
Keyboard.

I did that and it didn't work - Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Karen

Hi Karen,
Here are some steps:
--- Locate this path in the windows Explorer:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\History = in the right pane/window locate the
URL and delete.
--- On the Registry :
[-] HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs =
Delete from the list in the right pane/window.

--- Download this tool:
"AutoRuns for Windows v8.61 By Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

In IE, click on the History button to open the History panel. Near the
top of that panel, click View, then By Site. Scroll down to locate the
site in question. You can either right-click on the site name to delete
everything related to that site or click on the folder icon to drop down a
list of assocaited URLs, then right-click and delete entreis from the
list.
