deleting files; confirm file delete

Justin Jeffries

All the sudden every time I delete a file/folder, a dialogue window pops up
that says "Are you sure you want to delete "file"? But when I press YES, it
does not send it to the recycle bin. Just yesterday, the dialogue box said
"are you sure you want to move this item to the recycle bin," and it would
place the file in the recycle bin. I checked the properties on the recycle
bin and it is not set to auto delete without sending to the bin. Help
please. Thanks

I had a similar problem to Justin's only mine was that the recycle bin
claims to have 77 items ready for deletion and yet the bin is EMPTY... I
still try to empty the bin. The puter makes the crumpling paper noise like
it is emptying the bin... but the 77 "files" are still there. Now.... I
tried to repair my recycle bin with the link Ferguson posted... and it
didn't work. Microsoft help pages were no help.... so anyone here that might
have an answer????

Best Regards,
Gary
