Deleting comments but tracking changes

Hi:
I have just upgraded to Office XP. I am given many
documents that have changes (ie red-line editions)
previously, I got only the red-lined changes, now since
the upgrade, I get comments too, off to the right margin.
Is there a way to turn off the comments and to keep the
red-lined changes, and keep the document at its correct
size?

Hi Elisa

On the Reviewing toolbar, click Show and un-tick Comments. That will hide (not delete) the comments.

It's worth investigating all the options at Tools > Options > Track changes, and all the buttons on the Reviewing toolbar.
