On a Windows 2000 domain controller, the SYSVOL directory was copied to
another drive via a copy and paste. As
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q324175 points out,
this didn't copy data, but instead created a junction point. The article
recommends against doing a cut or copy and paste, but does not say what to do
if one has been performed, as is the case I'm facing.
I found a utility from Microsoft called LINKD, but am hesistant to use it to
delete the junction point as I am not sure what effect, if any, it would have
on the original SYSVOL contents.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem and have any suggestions?
Is LINKD okay to use in this situation?
My thanks in advance.
