Deleting a report

Paula

I recently started working at an organization that wants me to be their
"database person." The db is a mess and there are a few reports that cannot
be opened. When I try to open them I get the message "Microsoft Office
Access cannot find the object 'Report Name'. Make sure the object exists and
that you spell its name correctly." When I ask around the office no one
seems to know what happened to these reports! Is there a way to restore
them? I have tried deleting them, but for some reason Access is not letting
me do that either! All permissions are in place, but I seem to be having a
few problems that I have never ran into before. Any help or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

STOP (it sounds as if you have a corrupted database application)
MAKE A BACKUP of the database as it exists and put that aside while you
attempt to fix the problems with the current database.

Try Allen Browne's article on Recovering from Corruption at:
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-47.html

Also you take a look at Tony Toews' site
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

Jerry Whittle, Microsoft Access MVP has a white paper in a Word document named
Fix Corrupt Access Database towards the bottom this page:

Thank you. I will try that. I guess that also answers my question as to why
I can't save a report I am creating!
