Deleted shortcut but it's still on desktop?

I changed my FireFox icon to one I found online, and then created another
shortcut to it on the destkop. I deleted the new shortcut, and then deleted
it in the recycle bin. But it still shows on the desktop. Any suggestions on
how i can get it to go away? thanks.

Usually it weill disappear after reboot.

Tried pressing f5 to refresh your screen?
That may work.

If it does not, just reboot. It should no longer be there.
At least, that is what happens here.
