Deleted Items Folder in Outlook is hidden - cannot find it

C

Chris_of_Texas

Somehow, my "Deleted Items" folder in Outlook has either been hidden or has
been deleted. I cannot find it in my folder list. I know it still exists
because I tried two things just to see if it still exists: (1) tried to
create a new folder named "Deleted Items" - window replied that I already had
a folder named by that name, (2) I can go to TOOLS and then "Empty Deleted
Items Folder".

C

Chris_of_Texas

Dianne,

No. I work from the Folder List view and it is not in this view.

Thanks,

Chris

did you expend all the folders so you can see the subfolders? It's there
somewhere and is fairly easy to move if you use owa.

Did you try the /resetfolders switch?

Diane,

I have taken the time to expand all of my folders. It is nowhere to be seen.
I have also restarted Outlook after a fresh reboot of the computer. No
success.

When I try to "Recover Deleted Items", it opens a window that does not show
anything to recover even though I have deleted several items since last
Deleting items from the Deleted Items Folder.

Thanks,

This switch restores missing folders for the default delivery location. See
http://outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm for help using it -
basically, you close outlook and confirm its closed in tasks manager,
processes tab then at start menu, run you type
outlook.exe /resetfolders

if this is an exchange acct your admin will need to make you a new mailbox.
If it’s a personal account, make a new pst and move everything to it.

I opened the "Web" toolbar in Outlook and typed in the address bar: OUTLOOK:
DELETED ITEMS

This opened my Deleted Items folder - but i still cannot see where it is. Is
there a way to find out the address of this folder so i can maybe navigate to
it?
