Deleted email d't go to Deleted Items

Hi,
i am using OS 2000, Outlook 2000. Once i delete emails from Inbox, the
deleted email just gone like permenant deleted, it d't go to Deleted Items
folder. i am sure that i d't press Shift + Delete button on the keyboard, i
am using the Delete button in Outlook to delete the emails. Please help!

Have you exited Outlook? Are you set to empty the deleted items folder on
exiting?
