Delete Item in MSCONFIG startup

In MSCONFIG (system configuration utility) Startup tab, there are items
listed from a Roxio product that I have uninstalled. They are unchecked,
but still listed. I have gone to the path listed in the startup tab, and
they are physically deleted.

How do I delete a line item in the Startup that that is not used and
phsyically not even there? I have run all the tools I have (Nortion System
Works, Virus Scan, Ad ware scan, etc.).

Thanks!

Manual removal:
Go to Start -> Run and enter regedit.exe in the Open box.
Click OK.
Navigate to the following registry keys and delete the subkeys
which represent the items you've unchecked in msconfig.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

Automated removal:
Go to the following web site and download the script from line
148, right hand side, Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig
Startup and Selective.
