Delete All Traces of Previously Installed Software?

Hi - I'm trying to ensure that no one can find out what I have
previously installed on my PC. I've deleted all traces of the
programmes in obvious places in Explorer, but apparently there is a
quick and easy way for someone to find out what programmes I have
previously installed.

Is there a way to delete all 'traces' of previously installed software,
hopefully without having to manually edit the registry for each piece
of software?

Thanks very much!!

Sorry to reply to my own question, but just found this:

"jv16 PowerTools allows users to remove all traces of previously
uninstalled software"

Anyone familiar with this?

Thanks!

XP has "Nooks & Crannies" for retention of data. Only sure fire way
to remove traces/remnants is to load a System Image prior to the app
being installed - otherwise it's "Registry Hunt & Peck" time.

Ask yourself how much $$$ it's worth to the people you think want to
know. Remember that the time of a skilled technicial is also money.

If these people have an unlimited budget then what you ask is probably
impossible. If the budget is an hour's technician's time what you ask
may be possible but it's easy to miss something and you're caught.

Thanks Al. Unfortunately it's not money (that would be easy!), but
rather revenge/politics/misplaced sense of duty. Much more difficult
to deal with!

I did try JV16 tools and they weren't bad, but it still needed a
general registry 'hunt & peck'. I had thought that there was a
relatively simple way of determining what past programmes were
installed. What would you do to find out? Anything under admin tools?

Thanks again!

It always comes down to time and money. How much are your enemies
willing to spend to *maybe* find some dirt on you?
