delete a print job from q

why does it take 3-5 minutes to delete. It says pending all this time and I
wait. If I turn my printer back on before it is completely deleted, it start
printing. Other win os deleted in like 1 second. This is no fun waiting.

How can I fix??

Since you don't give the make/model of your printer, it's impossible to
say for sure. Check on the printer mftr.'s website for updated drivers
for XP and see if they have any tech support articles dealing with your
problem. If you have no luck there, call the printer mftr.'s tech
support.
