Delayed write operation failed

Windows2000 professional SP2. 2 logical drives on a single
disk.
When i try to copy a relatively big file (e.g: 160MB) on
to the same drive, I keep getting the message "Windows -
Delayed write operation failed".

Any inputs will be helpful. Thanks.

Additional info:
In the system event log, for event 50, the data section
has the last word as c0000185. For event 51, the last word
is 0080
