If you want free then DiskKeeper is good. But O & O defrag is the

Google O & O 11 defrag and you will see Olorin. Make it a great day.

I'm well aware of O&O and how good it is; I used to use it but switched to
PerfectDisk.

However, the point you completely miss is that it was your choice of the
phrase "nothing compares to it" that I was picking up on. ANY defragger
*can* be compared to O&O - that's not to say it's anything like as good as
it. Much as (and this was my real point) the validity of your MS-MVP
standing compares to the real thing - by being nothing like it.

Oh, and Diskeeper (or DiskKeeper, you aren't consistent) isn't freeware -
unless you mean the Diskeeper Lite version that Intel released as part of a
bundle a while ago.

Make it a great day for yourself by proving us doubters wrong - or drop the
"[MS MVP]" you append yourself with.

In colloquial English, it is common to omit the obvious.
'Nothing compares to it' means:
'nothing comes even close to matching <insert attribute here> of it',
where attribute could be any of (but not limited to):
safety, performance, appearance, cost/comfort, ease of use, durability.

OK, I'll forget the irony in future and just come out and say things
plainly... (The part you snipped.)

Besides, O&O *isn't* that far ahead of the competition. But I'd say "THE C."
*is* a huge distance from MS-MVPhood.

My status is MVP with Microsoft. O & O Defrag 11 is far above any defrag
software period! If you must use a freeware then try IOBit.com for their
defrag software. Are you saying MVP's are from the hood?? Make it a great
day. ;-)

Then, once more: prove it or stop making this claim.

Just now you were recommending the mysterious and unnamed free version of
Diskeeper (or "DiskKeeper")... C'est-à-dire, the one that isn't really free.
Or perhaps it's free to those like you who are "Microsoft MVP employees"...
You know, those with secret squirrel access to the confidential "direct MS
news server" for these groups that you've mentioned. The one that no "other"
MS-MVP has heard of. The one you seem to use via web-based access to the
group.
Are you saying MVP's are from the hood??

Stop deliberately misunderstanding and prevaricating.
Make it a great day. ;-)

Make yours an honest one.

Having used O&O and most of the others, I don't see where O&O offers
anything that I can't get with JKDefrag except for automated defrag that
most people would never need.

After scanning the Inter.Google.Net for "Charles Richmond MVP", I agree.
He posts here via CDO. For that he needs MS Passport to sign-in and login.
He is in breach of "Terms of Use" of this MSFT Community.
MSFT should cancel his 'MS Passport' account.

Diskeeper Lite is all over the place.

He wasn't talking about Diskeeper *Lite*. He mentioned Diskeeper (and
"DiskKeeper") which is not free, with no mention of "Lite". If you'd
bothered to read and understand the previous posts in this thread you'd know
that, and also that I (and Mike Hall) had already picked him up on it.

(That said, having twice recommended the "freeware" Diskeeper as the best,
he then went on to say "If you must use a freeware then try IOBit.com for
their defrag software." Perhaps he was too busy polishing his fake MS MVP
credentials to worry about consistency.)
You're kinda lazy, eh?

And you've just proved yourself to be, as well as rather rude from that
comment, lazy and/or ignorant too.

Olorin, Lite it is still free, if one wants free then I also gave Iobit.com
as another free place to look. I still have and always will recommend O & O
Defrag, you need to read, understand, then reply. Your understatement of me
polishing my MVP, renders me to believe your childishly jealous. Make it a
great day.

You clearly didn't read my post. To repeat: you didn't once mention "Lite".
Your understatement of me polishing my MVP,

I haven't understated anything - you simply don't have an MVP to "polish" at
*all*. Back up your claim to be an MS-MVP or drop the title.
renders me to believe
your childishly jealous.

Why do you assume jealousy on my part? Why not, with more justification,
assume that lying, impersonation and subject-avoidance get my goat?

Talking of childish, this MS-MVP business is something of an obsession with
you. How about this quote from you the other day: "What ever Andrew says I
can care less for he is not an MVP!"

"Charles Richmond, Most Valuable /Professional/"? Don't make me laugh.

"What ever Andrew says I can care less for he is not an MVP!" ...Your point?
Remember read, understand then reply. Don't worry about me, "jealiousy" is
childish, which I already explained pertained to you. Olorin, make it a great
day.

Olorin, make it a great day.

My point? Already made earlier elsewhere. Suggest *you* read & understand
before you reply.

You say this "jealiousy" [sic] pertains to me. Justify that, please.

And brush up your English. For an (alleged) author, it's reprehensibly poor
throughout your posts. As is your persistent use of "MS MVP" - I see you're
unable to reply to that part of my post but have just snipped it. Why could
that be?

Actually, don't bother replying; I'm bored with these exchanges now and you
never answer direct questions. Ta-ta.
