A general query.
I recently started receiving this message following a defrag of my C drive
"Defragmentation is complete for: (C
Some files on this volume could not be defragmented.
Please check the defragmentation report for the list of these files."
The report lists no files, totally blank.
De-fragging my F drive throws up no such message.(both drives NTFS system)
I recently un-installed Windows messenger, (to prevent running process
msmsgs.exe)
which caused issues with Outlook Express loading extremely slowly.
I resolved this by following the instructions below from the OE newsgroup
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/problems/performance.htm#slowstart
Is it the recent un-install that's caused this ? Is disk de-frag looking for
some of these files ?
Just for my info really as machine is running ok, and I try to learn
something new every day !
