DEFAULT WEB FONT RESET TO MARLETT

C

CHARLES

AFTER UPGRADING MY VIRUS SCAN PROGRAM, SOMEHOW THE BROWSER
DEFAULT FONT FOR "UNAVAILABLE FONTS" HAS BEEN RESET TO
MARLETT. THE DEFAULTS FOR "UNDEFINED FONTS" ARE SET AND
WORK FINE. ON SOME WEB PAGES, BLOCKS OF TEXT THAT
APPARENTLY CALL FOR FONTS NOT INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER ARE
CONVERTED TO UNREADABLE MARLETT CHARACTERS. I CANNOT
LOCATE THE PLACE IN IE6 TO RESET THAT TO A READABLE FONT.
I HAVE REINSTALLED IE6, BUT THAT DID NOT HELP. ANY
SUGGESTIONS ?

You know what is funny? You will probably never read this
post. And I just read it and found your answer... In IE's
own help database!!!! I simply typed font and it gave
several options including the following...

To display Web page text in a different font

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet
Options.
On the General tab, click Fonts.
In the Web page font and Plain text font lists, click the
fonts you want.

I don't know why I find that funny....
