Chris

Hi- I have Outlook 2000 and want to know how to configure
it so that at start up, the monthly calendar, with all my
appointments, shows up- any ideas?

Hi Chris--

Goto Tools --> Options --> Other --> Advanced Options... --
under General settings you can select Calendar or
Outlook Today (both will give you what you want).

Thanks Crystal- However, from Tools, there is no "Options"
option- this is driving me crazy!!

I wonder if it is possible to use Outlook Express for
email, but use the Outlook calendar for appointments??
Doesn't that seem logical? Why am I having these problems?
I reinstalled my Windows 98SE disk with the Office
Professional 2000 disks as well!

Problem is, my c drive had to be restored from a hacking
incident. Now I have to somehow recreate what I had from
the beginning and I am losing patience. You would think
there is some kind of Outlook tutorial?

My mode that I am running is normal mode. I go to views,
calendar and get the "we cannot find an email connection,
return to Windows Explorer and double click the mail icon
and create an email connection..." I don't want to. I
use Outlook Express for that. What I had before my crash
was the calendar in Outlook and I loved it!! It kept me
organized with all my appointments. Now, when I go into
Outlook, I get nothing, and some of the options to select
aren't "selectable" if you know what I mean, they are in
dim letters that cannot be clicked. What a hassle!

yes... you can use both. Set up outlook in nomail mode. See help, about for
the version and mode you're using.
