Default user-level security

When creating a new database, the 'Users' group is defaulting to have
Administer permissions for all objects. This is in Access 2003 using a
workgroup file that has been converted from 97 (or older) to 2003. The
'Users' group in the old version of the workgroup file does NOT have any
permissions to old or new databases.

Is there a way to change it so the 'Users' group does not default to having
Administer permissions?

I know you can change permissions for each database but if someone else
creates a new db, they may not know to set permissions.

Thanks for any answers

I think I must misunderstand something. The Users Group always gets
permissions on a new database. You always have to set permissions.

The only way would be to remove permissions for the Users Group to create
new objects (code in the security FAQ).

Perhaps on converting the mdw, this got changed. I never convert a mdw,
preferring to unsecure; convert the mdb and reapply security fresh in the
new version.

You should be able to rerun the code you have that removed the Users Group
ability to create new objects while using your secure mdw.
