Default mail client

1) When I click on an a mail link I get the message "could not perform this
operation because the default mail client is not properly installed" after
which I get 58 pages with message "no page to display." This might be linked
to : -

2) I can't specify the Internet email program I want to use with Internet
explorer. In IE6 properties >programs > email, only Microsoft Outlook is
available when I want to use Outlook Express.
