Default browser for users

Is it possible to have different default browsers for users, e.g., IE for
most users and Netscape for one user. This would permit a link to open that
browser. It seems like changing it for one user changes it for all users.

There may be a more techy way of doing it but we just put
a shortcut to our preferred browser on the users desktop.
My grandma loves aol so that is all she sees but when i
log onto her machine with my account i dont even see it.
