Debug Assertion Failed

When I view certain web pages, I get the following error:

Debug Assertion Failed
Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE

Expression:_BLOCK_TYPE_IS_VALID.

I try to hit retry to debug, but nothing works, it just
closes on me and I can't do anything. Does anyone know
what this is or how to correct it? Thank you.

I would check for virus or parasites.
