Hi all,

I recently bought a new DDR chip ( 1GB DDR2 PC2-4200 533Mhz 240PIN 1 GB
PC2 4200 533 Mhz ), and after a few hours of everything running well I
suddenly got a blue screen and now everytime I try to restart my PC I
get a blue screen and it wont load.

My PC is as follows

210-16807 Dimension C521 AMD A64 3800 (2.40GHz, 512K) 1 333.51 333.51
200-41558 List D10C15 Dimension C521 1
235-12764 Free 36 Month McAfee Security Centre Subscription 1
236-10167 256MB RAM FREE - Double Memory Promo 1
237-10286 Free Upgrade - 160GB SATA - 250GB SATA 1
238-10021 Free Monitor Upgrade from 15"FP to 19"FP 1
340-13317 Recovery CD not included 1
340-13514 MS Logo Label for Vista Capable 1
340-13923 English - C521 System Docs (UK power cord) 1
370-12566 512MB Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz [2x256MB] Memory 1
385-10468 No Floppy Drive 1
400-12865 250GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive 1
429-11154 Sonic Software for DVD/RW+R (Read/Write+ Reader) (No Recovery
CD) 1
429-12331 16 X DVD +/- RW 1

Any ideas would be much appreciated as I can't see why the memory
should be dead now.

Did you buy the RAM from Dell, or elsewhere? I think it was George
McDonald who was speculating that he thinks the power supplies in those
new Dell machines are too wimpy to run just about anything other than
the maximums of what Dell can already supplied you with.
