DCs upgrade to SP4

I have 3 domain controllers running Server2000 SP3. I'm planning to upgrade
them to SP4. Those systems run DNS, DHCP, and WINS. What are the
prerequisites to install SP4 and are there any considerations I should think
about before installing it? Should I install SP4 on all 3 servers at the same
time or gradually, let's say first DC1, after 1week DC2, and then DC3? I'd
like to make sure that this install will not impact anything on the network.

This biggest known problem with SP4 is if you have a single-label domain
name. If you don't have a single-label domain name I've had few problems
with SP4 after almost 4 years in this group.

My domain is not a single-label domain. Is is recommended to install SP4 on

all or most of the patches? I just don't want to reboot the machine several
times?

I'm in the "first one and then the other" camp. I updated out two DCs over a
period of a week with no impact.

I'd use Microsoft Update
(http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate) and select all the
critical updates. MS Update will tell you about pre-reds and tell you what
to do.

You can download the Network Versions of SP4 and the SP4 rollup package and
save several reboots over using Windows update.
