Day-Date Pop-up appears behind taskbar

Currrent OS: XP, SP2 (problem also occurred in SP1

When I move my cursor to the taskbar, over the time, the day and date should
normally appear in a small pop-up. It does this about 1/2 the time. The
rest of the time the pop-up appears, but it is actually behind the taskbar,
and I can just barely see the top of the pop-up. Other icons in the taskbar
may or may not act the same way, and I cannot predict when the malfunction
will occur.

That is a common bug in windows xp. No way to predict it, and the only
cure is to log off then log back on.
