Date in taskbar

Is there anyway to show the present date in the taskbar, next to the current
time, or anywhere else that might be practical?

Thanks

Here are two ways:

1. Make the task bar two or more lines high.

2. Use one of the freeware/shareware taskbar enhancement programs. I
personally like TCLOCK (not be confused with the similar--but inferior, in
my view--tclockex).

There seems to be at least two programs out there called TClock -
which one do you mean?

Is that Oz as in Australia? If so, hello from another aussie.

I use TClockEx and I like it. The web address given in the "About" for
TClockEx is http://users.iafrica.com/d/da/dalen. I can't get this address
to respond, but the program I downloaded works quite well.

Another way to see the time is to hold the mouse over the time and the date
appears.

Tclockex isn't a bad program. I used to use and like it too. But if you've
never tried TClock, I recommend that you give it a try. I think it's
significantly better.

Yeah. Wonderful, isn't it !
And I used to frequent Cronulla and Maroubra beaches as a youth.

We thought when it happened in France that we aussies wouldn't descend to
that level, but I suppose we are kidding ourselves, especially of we think
we really are a multi-cultural nation.

Here in Canberra , we don't *seem* to have problems, perhaps because of the
presence of diplomats. Although in a city of 300,000 we don't see all that
many.

Make the taskbar bigger, or use a third-party utility.

If you don't need the date constantly on view, you can do what I do:
just hold the mouse over the time and the date will show as a popup.

Yes - I have used TClockEx for ages and find it very good but I wanted
to see why Ken thought TClock was better.

G'Day Ken - I tried it out and it is similar to TClockEx but I think I
will stick with what I have - I am used to it now and find it very
good.

The "Help" for TClock only seems to be available while on line and is
not yet up to scratch - a lot of items contain only "Under
construction". With TClockEx I do not have to be on line to get help -
it is on my HD.

There is one thing that I use a lot that TClockEx has that I can't
find in TClock - I can click on it in the systray and get a calendar
for the month pop up - and I can cycle through the months and years on
this calendar.

OK, that's fine. We don't all have to prefer the same things. Thanks for
trying it.

I find it intuitive enough that I hardly ever need help,.

Right-clock on the clock and choose Calendar.

Did that - no calendar option there - are we talking about the same
program - the one by Kazuto Sato?? (as shown in "About" option)

Sorry, I had forgotten that I'm running a newer version, called TClock2.
