Date in Reviewing Pane - Word 2003

Folks,
One of my users who regularly needs to track changes in documents, has
noticed that the date in the Reviewing Pane is in US format ie MM/DD/YYYY.
does anyone know if it is possible to change this so it is in UK format of
DD/MM/YYYY.

Thanks for all your help.

It would be the 10th of October :)
I believe the date shown is the short date format shown in Windows regional
settings. Many UK PCs are setup with default US American regional settings -
change to UK and check the date formats especially.

Hi Graham
Thanks for the reply - I thought it must be picking the date up from
somewhere on the PC. I'll wait until tomorrow so I can test it properly -
trust me to pick 10th October :)

Change the PCs date through Windows to yesterday and you can test it today -
don't forget to change it back again afterwards.

Folks
Unfortunately Graham's suggestion of changing Regional settings in XP has
failed to change those used in Word. I've also ensured the Tools/Language
setting in Word is set to UK, neither have made a difference - the Review
pane is still showing a date in US format of MM/DD/YYYY.

Graham, or anyone, can you think of anything else I can try. We are running
XP with SP2 and MS Office 2003.

Thanks very much for any suggestions.
