Date formatting

I have a cell that will hold a date field. I want the format to be 2014-09-02. Currently I click the cell, then click on the little arrow in the Number group in home tab, change the locale to United Kingdom and then choose the format I want, then OK.
I have to do this repeatedly for different cells. Is there a way to add this format to the Gallery that I added to the quick access toolbar so I can pick the format easily?

Better still, anyway to create a keyboard shortcut?

Thanks

Not sure about adding to QAT but just define a custom format yyyy-mm-dd

Hi Zaidy,
I have defined the custom format but I still have to do multiple clicks to get to that format and choose it, don't I?

Thanks Zaidy, yes it is, especially if one knows the right search terms :) That worked great for me.
