date entered in form to repeat in next record

I use a form in Access 2003 to enter data. Data entered is for events that
have already occurred, not the current date. There are several entries for
the same date. How do I made the date field in my form show the last entered
date until I change it manually?

Thanks Rick. I have spent a couple of hours reading through the listings and
have not found an answer to my question. I already have setup a working
calendar on my form, and it works fine. My problem is that input of records
generally have the same date of "activity" and require the user to repeatedly
input the date for each record which slows down the input process. I would
like to have the form retain the date entered during the previous record
input. So, if the input is 6/1/05, I would like it to stay 6/1/05 until it
is manually changed. Any help is appreciated.

Rhetorical question for everyone with interest in this on-going topic:
Why is the answer (a complicated set of expression-building, blah, blah,
blah, that requires one to dig out a MS KB answer) so difficult to arrive at
and implement in Access 2003? Seems that such a popular request should result
in MS having a Form Design option to do the "repeat value of a field in next
record" thing.
In good ol' dBase III the job was accomplished with three words typed on the
command line: "set carry on". Wish it were so simple now.
Microsoft, are you listenting?
