Date and Time Properties doesn't keep time

Hi, can anyone tell me why after I set my time and date correctly on my date
and time properties, the next day it throws it back to January 2003 and the
time is all messed up? I've tried eveything I can think of and I am hoping
someone here has an answer. Thanks

The motherboard has a battery about the size of a quarter that saves the
time. Buy a new one at the local electronics place.

You need to replace the CMOS battery on the motherboard; it's running on
empty. Check the documents that came with your PC or the manufacturer's
site for information on how to change it.

Computer repair shops can also do it, of course, but that will cost you
more.

Thanks, didn't know the mother board actually had a removeable battery on it.
Will tear it apart tomorrow.
