Databse needs to be repaired I got this message often

I have an access database & it created in 2000 format and at that time we
had some 10 to 15 people were using in the group, now we have 30 people are
accessing the database. And I get the error message " Databse needs to be
compact & repaired", So I have every body get out off database, and I
repaired the databse. After compacting the database it will work fine for
about 1 or 2 hrs and I get the same error message often.
( Note )
Some people in the group have new operating system ( 2003 XP ) and some has
older version 2000.

What could be causing the problem.

Hi Nick,



Are you using split FE/BE?
Are all users up on their Access service packs? I would put all users on the
latest service pack.
