Greetings --

WinXP is an operating system. No version of any operating system
that I've ever encountered has ever performed as a database
application. Why should WinXP be any different? If you want a
database application, purchase and install one.

Do you mean Office XP? (Thank you so much for this
confusing produst labeling, Mr. Gates!) The
various "levels" of Office XP offer different combinations
of applications for different needs, at different prices.
Access, the Microsoft database program, is available in
the upper end versions, which are very expensive. Access
is also more than most users need; search for a simpler
shareware database program that meets your needs (and pay
the registration fee; the software writer has to eat too!).
