Database Sharing BCM 2007 99% CPU

I've installed OL 2007 and BCM 2007 on two machines, one acting asa server.

The migration of the database worked well. I connected fine from the client
and was able to see the database. However, the client crashed and when I
rebooted I had a long delay until the Reminder window appeared with 3510
reminders, which included contacts and emails.

I dismissed all and the machine took about an hour to do this. It then seems
to hnag and appears mostly to be Not Responding and is using 99% of CPU. On
starting up OL on the server the 3510 Reminders appeared. I dismissed them
and the same result of Not Responding and 99% of CPU.

Is this just a mass processing activity that will eventually will go away?

I've tried reinstalling and rebooting but it always goes to the Not
Reponding stage.

Is there a work around or do I just wait?

It's ok! I solved it myself by importing a backup of the database into the
server with the Default Reminder switched off in Options in both the server
and the client PC! THere should be a warning!
