Database based on runtime during day or speedup dlookup

I have a database that many reports/queries/forms are based off of
when the database was refreshed with info from SAP. If the refresh
occurred before 3 pm then all of the data should be based on yesterday
and if it was refreshed after 3 pm then it is considered to be todays
info. So, before now we would have to manually run a bunch of update
queries and have duplicate queries/forms/reports that would place the
info in today or yesterday. This is very tedious and prone to
errors. So, I created a table that has one field that shows the date
the information should pertain to. However, now I have to use
dlookups to calculate the dates in all of the queries/forms/tables.
Is there a way to either speedup dlookup or skin this cat?
