DATA3.BIN error

When my son tried to open the Ricochet Lost World-Recharged he gets an error
saying Cannot find file DATA3.BIN Redownload and reinstall the game. I
have done that for him several times and always get the same error. Is there
any solution to this problem? The game worked fine in the morning. When he
tried to do it a little later he got the error message.

Hi Jim Zack,

Let's try a couple of things to get that working for you:

1. Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system

2. Log in with an account you've created as a "Computer Administrator"
account that you'll use to play the game, but don't use a Limited account.

3. Uninstall the game, and then download it again freshly to your computer.

Tried what you said and that did not work either. Do you have any other

would a clean/install fix the problem?

Hi Jim Zack,

Yes, a clean/install could fix the problem, which is why
I suggested a fresh reinstallation in step 3 previously.

I tried your suggestion and that did not work. Do you have any other ideas?
There must be some way to fix this short of a clean/install
