data source for Reports

Is it possible to use for a report in one db a query from another db as the
record source?
Example:
I have a db called "invoices and statements" and a second db called "trading".
I have tried to input in the report property as record source:
c:/cps208/trading.mdb/offsetordersquery
Since it is not working at all I need to ask here to get a solution (if
possible).
Can anyone help?

You have a split Frontend/Backend configuration, right?

In your frontend, import the tables as 'Linked' from the other db. Then just
use a query in your frontend (copy the other one if you like).
