Data Entry in Tables

I selected the Data Entry command in the Records Menu of a table and now when
I open the table in Datasheet View I don’t see all my records. I have
clicked the Remove Filter / Sort command and that brings the records back
while the table is open but as soon as I close the table and then reopen it,
it is in Data Entry mode again, showing none of the existing records.

How can I get the table to open showing all the records again?

I am using 2000.

Turn of DataEntry mode. That is what it is intended to do, hide existing
records.

Thanks for your reply. I did turn off Data Entry mode but when I re-opened
the table it was on again. I want to be able to open the table with Data
Entry mode turned off by default.

After you turn it off, then save the table.

BTW it is almost always a bad idea to use a table to enter, edit or view
data. Use a form - query or report and you will have fewer problems.
Tables are really best at just storing the data.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried saving the table after I’ve turned off
Data Entry mode but it still opens with it on.

I take your point about using a form for data entry but would also like to
get to grips with this odd thing that is going on with this table.
