DAO Connectivity

¤ I have a access front end(1) which connects to another access application(2)

¤ to get data. I am calling them 1 and 2 to avoid confusion.The application 2
¤ has the data source being moved to an sql server database.
¤ Now my question is what do I need to use at in 1, in order to have access
to
¤ the application 2 and the data source links within 2. Currently the link is
¤ existing through mapped drives and all other coding in 1 and 2 is being
done
¤ through DAO's. I cannot create a ODBC link DSN through control panel as
many
¤ copies of 1 exist at various users and it may not be possible to create
ODBC
¤ connections on all the PC's using the application.WIll a DAO connection
¤ coding be a solution.What should I do? Please Help.

you can use DSN-Less connection to link tables, then you can just give a new
version of 1 to all users:
