DAMN "THUMBNAIL" VIEW!!

[I'm So Tired!]

Everytime I download anything to a folder, then open it, I GET THIS DAMN
"THUMBNAIL" VIEW instead of "Details" view!! How can I turn off or change
this setting so that I NEVER see a thumbnail view again?????

#3 Set The View You Want To See

#4 Goto / TOOLS / Folder Options / View Tab
Push The Button That Says : Apply To All Folders

open windows explorer set the view you want. Under "Tools"
choose Folder Options, on the View tab, click apply to all
folders.

The other replies assume you know a lot about XP. Even I
found them vague. In order to achieve what you want click
start\my computer and double click on your main drive-
usually c: to open the explorer. Now right click anywhere
in a blank area and then put your cursor on view to open
your selections and then click beside how you would like
them to open and this will place a dot there. Now close
that little window and with the explorer still open click
the tools at the very top and then floder options and then
the view tab and then click the apply to all button on the
left at the top. I personally love the icon views and have
increased my cash to allow for additional ones. Have fun.

.XP will only retain a custom view with 400 folders that

you set (this includes system folders) to change this to
8000 folders go here and run this registry edit
line 2 left hand side
