D: drive will not recognize a blank disc.

When I'm trying to copy music to a CD, the player prompts me to insert a
blank disc into the D: drive. But when I do that it doesn't recognize that
the disc has been inserted. I've already checked that the drive is set for
recording (in My Computer and properties). If you know what's wrong please

The below website gives you the proper solution to this problem according
to Microsoft. I've tried the following and sometimes it works. Empty your
CD-Rom and reboot. Now insert a blank CD and try to record. If not..........
