  1. yes... a few days ago i had to reinstall windows 2000 well
now that it is reinstalled everything runs fine and dandy
except when i try to install alienx versus predator 2 the
setup bar will come to 60% or so and the following error
    message will come

    upcomponent: Resources
    File Group: Resources
    File: D:\data3.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

and i cannot get past this message the installer will
supposadly preform an illegal operation and windows2000
    must close it

please send feedback to me via email if possible
    thnx much bye bye all

a crc error means that the file that has just been copied
to your computer is not the same as the one on the cd, try
to clean the cd with a soft dry and clean towel or cloth
without scratching the surface, if the surface is quite
scratched that might also be the problem ( i hav eit with
enter the matrix to so i know the problem and the
    frustration it brings )

this is all the info i can give you on crc errors and that
is probably all there is ( as far as i know ) hope it
    works.
also try to install it on several pc's if it still won't
work you just can go back to the retailer and ask for a
new cd some help you with this problem.
