Cut n Paste not working

Whenever I try and cut and paste from IE6 the browser
window freezes and nothing is actually added to the
clipboard (ie when pasted it is the previous clipboard
item that is pasted).

Using SP1 on an hp N800c. Issue seems to have just
appeared, but spyware and virus scans show nothing..

will repair IE6.0
