Customizing toolbar for particular template

G

Grod

I have defined a template that I want to use for, perhaps,
one quarter of the emails I send out.

When I want to access it, I want to get to it fast, so I customized
the toolbar to have a button which goes to choose templates; however, I
still have to choose the user template directory from the list presented and
then click on the template itself -- several additional steps.

Is there some way of creating a button in Outlook 2000 that brings up that
template directly, eliminating those extra steps?

Thanks.

Grod,

Please try the steps in the following article.

231174 OL2000: How to Open a Form from a Toolbar Button
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=231174

If this doesn't work, try publishing the form to your Inbox. Then, all you
have to do is click on the Actions menu and select "New <form name>".

Hope this helps.

you can drop templates in any Outlook folder (hint: create a folder called
templates) - you can also add shortcuts to toolbars in windows or the
outlook bar.

Thanks for the tip. It worked great.

I have one more question on this. I tried dragging my template to the
Outlook bar (i.e. the vertical strip on the left of the screen in Outlook)
and it worked fine; however, I just decided I wanted to move it to the top
where the toolbars are, instead. When I try moving it there the cursor does
not change as expected to allow me to drop it.

Can that be done?

As before, I am using Outlook 2000.

Thanks.
