Customizing Snooze Times

B

Brandon

I used to use Microsoft Schedule Plus some years ago.
It's calendar was similar to that in Outlook. One feature
that was nice with Schedule Plus was the ability to type
in the amount of minutes or hours to have a reminder
remind (snooze) you again. With Outlook, it appears that
you can only choose from pre-selected times.
Here's an example:
In Outlook 2000, I want to tell a reminder to snooze for 3
hours, but I can only choose 2 hours or 4 hours. So I
have to choose 2, then choose another 1 hour again after
the 2 hours.

This is an interruption of productivity.
So does anyone know how to set Outlook Calendar to type in
the number of hours or minutes to snooze remind of the
appointment again?

Thank you.

Have you tried typing a different value directly into the Snooze box? You
should be able to type 3 hours or even 3h (which will turn into 3 hours when
you tab out of the box).

I have tried this. It does not allow typing into the
snooze box. Is there a way to enable that?
Thanks.

Oops -- I'm sorry, I gave you some bad information. It's been a while since
I used Outlook 2000, and you're right -- it won't let you type directly into
the Snooze box. So there is no way to get it to snooze for a period of time
other than the predefined intervals. Sorry about that. If you're able to
upgrade, you'll be glad to know that Outlook 2002 and 2003 do allow you to
type values directly into the Snooze box.
