customized bullets

Is there a way in Powerpoint to have your customized bullets available to you
when you go to Format and bullets. It seems to always have the defaults and
I would like to see the bullets that I always use.

I see that if I set the up in the Master it will work for the entire
presentation but that doesn't help me when creating a new presentation.

Erika,

In PowerPoint 2003, your frequently used bullets remained in the Customized
option. In 2007, If you make your custom bullet a png file, you can import it
as a picture bullet and then it will always be available (Choose the Picture
button instead of the Customize button.

Erika, there is no way to customize the Bullets dialog box (I wish!), but if
you are using Version 2003 or earlier, you can build it into the slide
master, as you correctly describe, and then save the file as the default
template that governs new files. You can go well past just your favorite
bullets -- typefaces, logos, backgrounds, color schemes -- the whole
enchilada. The file that controls this in V03 is called blank.pot and you
can create it by performing a Save As, changing the file type to Design
Template, and saving (or saving over, if necessary) the file called
default.pot.

In writing this, I came to the realization that I do not know if/how this is
done in Version 2007. I'm hoping that someone can enlighten all of us on
whether you can customize defaults in V07. Themes work quite differently
than defaults...
